exploiting this knowledge in a predictive manner in the development of new

projects involve structural modelling of dozens of
proteins and the effects of hundreds of mutations. My central question
surrounds identification of common patterns in the way evolutionary
pressures, expressed in gene coding, lead to specific changes in protein
